A new indie survival game called PACS: Post Apocalypse Courier Service is starting to gain attention online thanks to its unusual mix of co-op driving, survival mechanics, and chaotic delivery gameplay.
Developed by Studio 316 and published by Playstack, the game throws players into a dangerous post-apocalyptic world where society has collapsed, roads are barely functional, and surviving another delivery run can feel like an achievement in itself. Instead of fighting zombies or building giant settlements, the focus here is surprisingly simple: delivering packages across the wasteland.
Players can explore the world solo or with up to four people in online co-op, taking on courier jobs while navigating rough terrain, extreme weather, radiation zones, and damaged infrastructure. The concept almost feels like a blend of MudRunner, Euro Truck Simulator, and Mad Max, but with a stronger emphasis on teamwork and survival.
One of the game’s standout mechanics is its vehicle system. Trucks and delivery vehicles can reportedly be heavily customized with new engines, drivetrains, wheels, batteries, and body upgrades to help survive increasingly dangerous routes. Cargo management also appears to play a major role, as players will need to carefully organize deliveries inside their vehicles while dealing with awkward, explosive, or even radioactive packages.

The game’s atmosphere also seems to be leaning heavily into lonely road trip vibes. Gameplay footage and screenshots show players driving through abandoned highways, muddy wastelands, overgrown forests, and irradiated environments while trying to keep both themselves and their cargo intact.
Unlike many survival games that focus primarily on combat, PACS appears to prioritize traversal, planning, and cooperation. Scavenging for parts, repairing vehicles, preparing routes, and keeping deliveries safe seem to be the core gameplay loop.

Studio 316 has confirmed the game will launch in Early Access, with the developers planning to expand the world over time with additional vehicles, upgrades, biomes, and delivery systems. According to the Steam page, the Early Access version already includes the core systems for vehicle upgrades, package management, exploration, and multiplayer gameplay.
While the game still does not have a confirmed release date, it is already building interest among players looking for more unique co-op survival experiences. Its mix of off-road driving, physics-based traversal, and post-apocalyptic logistics gives it a very different feel compared to most modern survival games currently on the market.
