Independent developer 314 Arts, alongside publisher Maximum Entertainment, has confirmed that development on its highly anticipated World War II co-op first-person shooter, Projekt Z: Beyond Order, is steadily progressing toward a full multi-platform release later in 2026.
Following extensive private playtesting, the studio recently updated eager fans regarding structural gameplay enhancements, UI overhauls, and general optimization efforts. According to the development team, the upcoming months will mark a critical milestone for the title, with plans to debut a first-ever publicly playable demo on Steam ahead of its final launch.

Projekt Z: Beyond Order drops players onto a secret, Nazi-controlled island where horrific undead experiments have broken containment. Built from the ground up for four-player cooperative squads as well as solo players, the tactical shooter pairs traditional, high-stakes gunplay with a dark, atmospheric historical setting. Rather than relying purely on linear, level-to-level progression, the game leans heavily into survival elements, offering diverse ways to experience its grim world:
- Narrative-Driven Story Arcs: Players choose from four distinct survivor classes, each boasting unique, combat-altering abilities and dedicated story-focused missions.
- Exploration-Heavy Expeditions: A dynamic Free Roam mode allows players to re-enter cleared zones of the island to scavenge for vital medical supplies, ammunition, and rare blueprints.

What separates Projekt Z from traditional horde shooters is its micro-management progression loop. Acquired resources are brought back to the “Hideout,” a centralized hub community that players must actively build and maintain.
Survivors rescued on the island will populate this hub, introducing survival needs like clean water and steady food supplies that directly influence community morale. By constructing specialized facilities—such as water purification units or advanced weapon merchants—players unlock deep customization options, allowing them to modify and alter the behavior of over 20 distinct World War II-era firearms and melee weapons.
Projekt Z: Beyond Order is scheduled to launch later this year with full crossplay support enabled across PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
