A new multiplayer extraction shooter is preparing to enter the growing PvPvE genre with a mysterious and unusual premise. THE CUBE, SAVE US, developed and published by XLGAMES, sends players into a massive cube that appears in the sky above a devastated Earth, where survival depends on fighting through dangerous enemies and escaping with valuable loot.
The story begins during a tense global standoff when a giant cube suddenly materializes above the planet. Governments interpret the object as a potential threat, triggering a catastrophic nuclear conflict that leaves civilization in ruins. Decades later, survivors emerge from underground shelters and discover that the cube still floats above the world. Those who enter it sometimes return with rare resources that are vital for rebuilding, but many never make it back.
Players take on the role of raiders who venture inside the cube to gather equipment, supplies, and weapons. Each expedition is a high risk mission where players must battle both hostile creatures and rival raiders while searching for a way to escape with their loot.
Unlike many shooters that emphasize long range combat, THE CUBE, SAVE US is designed around intense close quarters fighting. Players rely on melee weapons, abilities, and tight space combat encounters while navigating the strange environments inside the cube.

One of the game’s most distinctive features is the cube itself. The structure is made up of multiple interconnected sections that constantly shift and rearrange. Every time players enter, they may encounter completely different locations, ranging from urban environments to strange ruins and unexpected landscapes hidden within the cube.
Outside of expeditions, survivors gather in a settlement where players can prepare for their next run, manage equipment, and interact with characters who help uncover the mystery surrounding the cube and the world it has changed.
With its unusual setting and focus on close combat encounters, THE CUBE, SAVE US aims to offer a fresh take on the extraction shooter formula. The game is scheduled to release in Early Access on PC, where the developers plan to continue expanding the experience with new content and features over time.
