A new horror game that continues the Remothered series has been revealed, bringing the long running survival horror story closer to its conclusion. Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, developed by Stormind Games, is the third entry in the psychological horror franchise and is currently planned to release in 2026 for PC and modern consoles.
The game was officially unveiled during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2026, where the developers confirmed that the new title will serve as the final chapter in the Remothered trilogy. The series first began with Remothered: Tormented Fathers in 2018 and continued with Remothered: Broken Porcelain in 2020, both of which focused on stealth driven horror and narrative mystery.
In Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, players are drawn into a disturbing investigation connected to the legend of the Red Nun. The story follows a mother searching for answers after receiving a message suggesting that her missing daughter may still be alive. Her search leads her to a mysterious convent linked to a series of unexplained disappearances.
Much of the game takes place inside the Cristo Morente convent, a haunting location filled with secrets tied to the Red Nun mythology. As players explore the environment, they will uncover clues, piece together hidden parts of the story, and attempt to survive encounters with dangerous enemies that patrol the building.
Like previous games in the series, Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy focuses heavily on stealth survival horror. Players must avoid enemies known as Stalkers, unpredictable pursuers that relentlessly hunt them throughout the game. Hiding, sneaking, and carefully navigating the environment are often the only ways to survive.

Exploration and puzzle solving also play an important role. Players will need to search the convent for key items, unlock new areas, and uncover fragments of the story that reveal the truth behind the Red Nun legend and the events surrounding the missing girls.
The developers have also introduced new gameplay elements, including additional mechanics that allow players to interact with memories and hidden aspects of the environment. These systems are designed to deepen the narrative and provide new ways to uncover the convent’s dark past.
Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy is currently scheduled to release in 2026. When it launches, the game is expected to arrive on PC along with current generation consoles.
With its focus on stealth, psychological horror, and story driven exploration, the new entry aims to deliver a tense survival horror experience while bringing the Remothered trilogy to its conclusion.
