A new cooperative building game called We Build Cabins is giving players the chance to head into the Canadian wilderness and build their own log cabins from the ground up, either alone or alongside friends.
Developed by Project Zima, the upcoming simulator focuses on hands-on construction, allowing players to gather materials, prepare timber and gradually transform an empty plot of land into a fully constructed wooden cabin.
Rather than simply placing prefabricated structures, players will need to chop down trees, remove bark, cut logs to size and assemble their buildings piece by piece. The game features a variety of woodworking tools and equipment, with opportunities to upgrade machinery as construction projects become more ambitious.
Cooperative multiplayer is a major part of the experience, allowing friends to work together on construction projects, share responsibilities and build cabins in a scenic wilderness environment.

Outside of construction, We Build Cabins also offers more relaxing activities, including fishing, cooking and spending time around a campfire. These activities aim to give players a break from building while enjoying the surrounding forests and natural scenery.
The game combines elements of simulation, crafting and cooperative gameplay, with an emphasis on the satisfaction of creating something from scratch rather than surviving constant threats or fighting enemies.
We Build Cabins is currently listed as coming soon on Steam, with no confirmed release date. Players interested in the project can wishlist the game and sign up for its Steam playtest.
