A new mod for the Resident Evil 2 remake introduces Bryan from the 2026 Resident Evil film, recreating the character in a retro style inspired by the original PlayStation era.
Rather than matching the remake’s realistic character models, the mod gives Bryan a deliberately low polygon appearance. It replaces Leon’s 1998 costume, making the retro outfit slot a fitting home for the movie character.
The mod was released on September 26 and uploaded to Nexus Mods by D0ct0rSauce. The Bryan model itself was created by artist mindnumb_opus, who gave permission for it to be used in the project. In the mod’s description, the uploader credits the artist and encourages players to check out their work.

For players, the appeal is a different way to revisit the remake’s familiar locations. With Bryan replacing Leon’s retro costume, the character can take on the existing campaign while sporting a look that recalls Resident Evil’s early years.
The download is a cosmetic character replacement, with no separate campaign, new missions or dialogue listed on its page. Its focus is bringing the film character’s appearance into the game through a fan-made model swap.
Installation is handled through Fluffy Mod Manager, and the creator lists no additional requirements. The mod is also described as compatible with other modifications, provided they do not replace Leon’s 1998 costume. PC players can find it on Nexus Mods under the name “Bryan (Resident Evil 2026).”
