A new farming simulator is aiming to blend the relaxing progression of farming games with the satisfying restoration mechanics seen in renovation simulators, and it’s already catching attention from players looking for a slower paced experience.
Farm Renovator on Steam is an upcoming first person farming and renovation game from developer MobilWay and publisher PlayWay S.A., currently targeting a 2026 release on PC.
Rather than placing players into a fully functional farm from the start, the game throws them into a completely neglected property filled with collapsed structures, rusting machinery, overgrown fields, and abandoned buildings. The core gameplay revolves around transforming that broken down farm into a thriving countryside business.
Players will spend much of their time clearing debris, cutting trees, repairing fences, fixing old equipment, and restoring barns and homes piece by piece. The game also includes painting, decorating, and customization systems, allowing players to redesign the property however they want.
Beyond renovation, Farm Renovator also introduces traditional farming mechanics. Players can raise livestock, grow crops, gather resources, and sell products through their own farm shop. Chickens, cows, and other animals all play a role in building up the farm’s economy over time.
One of the game’s biggest appeals appears to be its “before and after” progression. Early gameplay footage shows heavily damaged buildings slowly turning into clean, functional spaces as players repair every detail manually using a variety of tools and machinery.
The developers have also hinted at exploration and hidden discoveries throughout the map, including abandoned structures, secret locations, and environmental storytelling elements designed to make the world feel more alive than a standard farming sandbox.
A free demo is already available on Steam and has received a positive reception from players testing the early systems. Many players have compared the game to a blend of House Flipper, PowerWash Simulator, and Farming Simulator, combining relaxing gameplay loops with satisfying visual progression.
While Farm Renovator does not appear to focus on hardcore realism or survival mechanics, it instead leans into a cozy and rewarding gameplay style centered around rebuilding, customization, and gradual progression.
With farming simulators continuing to grow in popularity, Farm Renovator could end up appealing to players who enjoy transforming neglected spaces into something entirely their own.
