Modders Turn Starfield Into a Massive Star Wars Experience With 100GB+ “Genesis” Mod

A group of dedicated modders has transformed Starfield into a fully fledged Star Wars inspired experience with a new total conversion project titled Star Wars: Genesis. Weighing in at over 100GB, the mod is one of the largest and most ambitious creations to emerge from Starfield’s modding scene so far.

Unlike traditional cosmetic packs, Star Wars: Genesis aims to rework the core identity of Starfield. Entire locations have been redesigned to resemble classic Star Wars environments, with desert settlements, domed architecture, and lived in sci fi cities replacing Bethesda’s original settings. The goal is to make the game feel closer to an unofficial Star Wars RPG rather than a standard modded playthrough.

The overhaul also introduces Star Wars themed weapons, armour, and outfits, including blaster style firearms and iconic gear inspired by the franchise. NPCs and factions have been adjusted to better fit the Star Wars universe, creating a more cohesive atmosphere across exploration and combat.

The scale of the project highlights how quickly Starfield has become a foundation for large modding efforts. Bethesda titles have a long history of serving as platforms for ambitious community projects, and Star Wars: Genesis follows in the footsteps of major Skyrim and Fallout conversions that reimagined those games as entirely new experiences.

While the mod is completely fan made and not officially licensed, its scope has drawn significant attention across the PC gaming space. Due to its size and complexity, installation requires substantial storage space, multiple dependencies, and a capable PC to run smoothly.
