Warzone season 2 dropped only a few hours ago, and fans have already noticed a few things that seem a little out of place.
The new season has been highly anticipated for a while now, and now it’s here we get to dig around and find all the new content added in the update. Season 2 adds new content to Warzone as well as Black Ops: Cold War.
A recent announcement revealed that a new mode would be coming to Cold War, Outbreak. The large-scale mode will challenge players with different tasks, with the games set on maps deep within the Ural Mountains.
As if that wasn’t enough, todays update revealed a bunch of new challenges which seem to confirm the return of Zombies to Warzone in Season 2. Much to the delight of fans, not only will Zombies now be making their way to Warzone, you will also be able to kill them.
The challenges that have appeared require players to take on different zombie themed tasks such as “use shotguns to eliminate 8 Zombies” ,”eliminate 8 zombies before the first circle closes” and “rapidly kill 2 or more Zombies 2 times”.
The challenges call for players to complete these in Warzone and not in Black Ops Cold War.
Players have suspected the return of Zombies for some time now after many had seemed to stumble across the Zombies trial machine in Warzone’s hospital. What’s interesting now is that earlier this week players had spotted a cargo tanker which was on its way to the Port of Verdansk, this has really got fans asking questions. Could this tanker be carrying a load of zombies?
Vodianoy, the spotted tanker becomes a new point of interest on the map as it crashes near the prison in Verdansk. It is too soon to say, but this could very well the location where players will be able to kill the zombies.
We can’t say exactly what this will lead to, many players suggested that a nuke could soon completely destroy Verdansk. Only time will tell what exactly is in store but needless to say, this is the first time that Black Ops, Warzone, Modern Warfare and Zombies have all had their storylines connected.
