It looks like Xbox are planning a revival of the fan favourite Banjo-Kazooie franchise.
ModernVintageGamer recently claimed on the Nate the Hate podcast that he had heard through the grapevine that there is a revival of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise in the works.
It was said that this project will be announced at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase, ModernVintageGamer said “Banjo will be at this show, and it will be announced”.
“I have spoken to a lot of people, and I’m not an insider, I’m a developer, but sometimes I hear things and I was at GDC earlier this year and there were some people talking about Banjo.”

He also went on to say “Banjo, what I can’t tell you is what that is” and followed up by saying ““I feel pretty strongly that there will be a Banjo announcement at this show, because man, I just keep hearing about Banjo”.
Of course, it has been some time since the original game released, bt it was only earlier this year that we saw the title make a comeback s it was added to Nintendo Switch Online.
Not only this, but Banjo and Kazooie were both added to Super Smash Bros Ultimate as playable chracters.
Phil Spencer even said back in 2020 “I have a lot of respect for Rare and the work that they do. They do like building new things, and they’ve seen success with Sea of Thieves. I think they’re really excited about Everwild.”

Even Steve Mayles, the character artist for Banjo-Kazooie had called previously for a remaster of the title, so could it be that we will soon be getting a taste of nostalgia?
