Warzone players are less than impressed with Activision given the current state of the game, big promises that Ricochet would improve the cheating issue have gone unmet with many other issues still waiting to be fixed.
For well over a year, the game had a serious cheating issue and Activision stayed silent. Months later they announced a brand new anti-cheat system in a bid to combat the issue. A brand new ‘kernel level driver’ was meant to save the game, but it appears to have fallen short.
Players have recently found an issue with the new Ricochet anti-cheat system, many are claiming that the system knows how accurate the player is and can adjust the damage no matter what weapon was used.
If this is correct that regular players should be getting a huge advantage over cheaters who use aim-bots, although many are concerned that the system will not be able to tell the difference between the two.
Reddit user ‘insaniityy’ took to the platform to share a screenshot form a Discord community for cheaters. The post claims that anyone with “inhuman super accuracy” will see their damage reduced.
While on the surface this appears to be a good change, some players are concerned that there is a system in place to detect cheating, but the cheating player is allowed to stay in the game.
