Warzone players Aydan and Tommey had dropped out of an upcoming tournament du to “rigged” teams.
The upcoming $10,000 Warzone Tournament has faced changes and has also been postponed and Aydan and Tommey’s teams have dropped out.
In eFuse’s latest tournament they decided to mix things up a little by trying a “casters and creators” type of event in which they put $10,000 up for grabs.
The event was set to feature one casual caster team which would be then teamed with two grinders for each team.
In order to be eligible to take part in the event, eFuse said they must have casted at $1,000 in Warzone prizes along with never having won one of their events previously.
Tommey then backed out from the event after having seen some of the teams that were due to take part in the event, Aydan also dropped out leaving eFuse to postpone the tournament.
Tommey took to Twitter to say “Opting out of the tournament today. It was meant to be a fun tournament with casters who spend their days talking over our gameplay, having a chance to now play alongside and compete against their peers. Sucks when people see a prize pool and only that.”
Aydan also updated fans on Twitter by saying “Opting out of that caster $10k because the teams are rugged. I may still stream today, but packing is first priority. I’ll keep ya’ll updated.”
eFuse also took to Twitter to share information on the events reschedule.
The post read “After deliberating w/ our team & hearing the community, we will be re-scheduling the #CommunityShowdown to Wed 7/28. Our focus is to spotlight and celebrate the AMAZING casters of the Warzone community by organizing an event around THEM.”
They also went on to say “The invited caster captains will be named on Monday 7/26 where they will choose their teammates to compete for the $10k prize pool.”
The post explained that the tournament will now take place on July 28 and there will be changes made to the format.
eFuse will instead choose 16 casters who will be captains and they will then choose their teammates instead of players choosing casters.
