A long standing issue with stun grenades in Warzone has finally been addressed by the developers.
Tactical equipment in Warzone can offer a huge advantage if utilised correctly but PC players have been complaining for a while now about how overpowered the effects of stun grenades are, with no counter play offered when under the grenades effects.
Now it looks as though the developers have listened and released a stealth nerf to Stun Grenades.
Almost all of the tactical equipment in Warzone has some kind of counter, Heartbeat sensors can be avoided by using ghost, Snapshots, Flashbangs and Gas Grenades can all be avoided by using the Battle Hardened perk, this should be the same for Stun Grenades, but the difference is almost unnoticeable when using the perk.
This has led to players complaining and asking for a nerf to the effects, calling them “OP”. A recent update in Warzone appears to show the developers listening to feedback and making improvements for players on the receiving end.
Players had been complaining that stuns made it so you were unable to move and lasted too long. The stun held your aim in position and wouldn’t let you do anything other than wait for it to wear off.
NRGIsaac noticed the changes while streaming Warzone. Isaac pointed players to a clip of Warzone player Almond, who, playing on console was able to easily kill another player while stunned.
The clip shows Almond fully stunned, but still being able to move his crosshairs towards his opponent fast enough to win the gunfight. People have said this was mostly down to aim assist, something that mouse and keyboard players don’t get to take advantage of. This has made it so console players are effected by stuns much less than PC players.
Now it seems both are on an even playing field again thanks to this update.
