Console players wont be happy to see that PC payers are able to use the FOV slider to their advantage in Call of Duty: Warzone. Especially when it’s used to cheat death during a tournament.
The FOV is pretty much standard in most pc games, allowing the user to change their Field of View in-game zooming the screen either in or out. Console players are locked to an FOV of 80 even on the new PS5 and Xbox Series X.
This is where PC players gain a massive advantage over console players as they can change their FOV all the way up to 120. Most players however chose to play with it set to around 110, Aydan showed why having a changeable FOV can be the difference between life and death.
While parachuting down to the ground, Aydan changed his FOV all the way down to 60, this allowed him to see a loadout on the ground over 300 meters away, zooming in not only allowed him to spot it, but he was also able to see if it was safe to land on or not.
While the FOV slider trick isn’t necessarily over powered, it definitely gave Aydan an advantage in the game against players who can’t change theirs. It’s a useful trick for those who remember to use it.
Console players have been asking for an FOV slider for a while now, it would allow them to see more of what is going on around them, unfortunately consoles don’t have the resources required to enable an FOV as high as what you can get on PC as it can be quite demanding on the hardware.
