Warzone players are hoping that season 6 will bring much requested changes to the combat scout perk which many consider to be overpowered.
Each new season of Warzone brings a lot of changes to the game, new weapons, new perks and sometimes new changes to the map, things have changed dramatically over the past year since the game released.
Although not all of these changes have been received positively by the community, now it looks like fans are hoping for the developers to make some changes to the Combat Scout perk. The Combat Scout perk was first introduced with the Tempered perk at the beginning of Season 5, the perk allows players to pinpoint an enemies location on the battlefield.
When a player is using this perk and causes damage to an enemy, for a short time they are highlighted to the player. This information can lead to a different outcome of a fight as the players teammates are also able to see the damaged opponent too in the form of a red ping above their head.
Reddit user ‘zfluffz’ took to the platform to show the Combat Scout perk in use, the post read “I don’t care what any bots say, combat scout is OP af. This clip annoyed me and im the one who did it”.
The clip shows the player shooting at an enemy in hiding, soon after the enemy was shot, they hid again behind a wall but thanks to the Combat Scout perk, zfluffz was still able to see the enemy even though they were hidden, this then allowed the player to eventually shoot the enemy down.
The video was then flooded with comments from other users who think that the perk gives players no option but to choose the Cold Blooded perk. Cold blooded is the only counter to Combat Scout, allowing players to keep their location hidden even when damaged by someone with Combat Scout. This means many players are forced to go without the useful E.O.D or Double Time perks.
On the other side of the argument, some players think that having a counter to the Combat Scout perk means that it isn’t overpowered, and that running the Cold Blooded perk is an easy solution to the problem.
Fans will no doubt continue to debate the perk, it is unclear if we will see any changes actually made to the perk, but only time will tell.
Players can expect Season 6 of Warzone to launch October 7, but in the meantime be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
