Warzone players are complaining that the Ghost perk is still broken

Players are complaining that the Ghost perk is still not working as intended in Battle Royale, but the developers are insisting the perk is functioning correctly.

Call of Duty: Warzone seems to have more bugs than it does features recently, with each update bringing in a whole host of new issues just waiting be discovered. With a game of this size, its expected that a few bugs will make it through testing and into the game, but some bugs are effecting gameplay more than others.

Players are complaining that the Ghost perk is still not working as intended in Battle Royale, but the developers are insisting the perk is functioning correctly.

One feature which has been the focal point of many glitches and online discussions is the Ghost perk, its designed to hide players from enemy UAVs, and it can be equipped by selecting a class that has it as part of the loadout from a Loadout Drop.

The debates bring into question how strong the perk is, and wether or not Heartbeat sensors are working with the perk correctly.

The Heartbeat Sensor is the most popular equipment in Warzone

Heartbeat Sensors are not supposed to pick up enemy locations if that enemy is running the Ghost perk. However players are reporting that killcams show enemies using a sensor to find them, and their location showing on the sensors screen.

The developers have responded stating it is merely a graphical glitch in the killcams and that players are not actually being detected by the Heartbeat Sensor if they are using Ghost. Players are not convinced.

A post on Reddit by ‘u/RealUserID’ contradicts what the developers are saying: “Heartbeat detects through Ghost perk again. I just watched on the replay. Guy holding HBS out. Only one dot blips… exactly where I was, he turns and finds me exactly where it shows.”

Other commenters were quick to respond saying that it was just a visual bug, the way the killcams work means they don’t perfectly re-enact everything as it happens and although the killcam shows the blip on the screen, it doesn’t mean it was there as the player was using the sensor in game.

“I’ve heard people say this but like OP, I’ve watched people use the sensor, see me on it, and turn specifically to where it was looking for me, could be a crazy coincidence but doesn’t feel like it.” another said.

Despite what talks online suggest, Infinity Ward are insisting that it is just a visual bug with killcams, and whether they will release a fix for the visual bug remains unclear, but we know for sure it would reassure players if this was fixed.
