Call of Duty: Warzone has allegedly made some changes to SBMM but fans are complaining that the changes have made SBMM even worse.
Fans have been requesting changes to SBMM for months now, and some fans have even been asking for it to be removed altogether, and it looks as though Activision actually listened.
For those who don’t know, SBMM is an abbreviation for the games skill-based matchmaking. This system pairs players of a similar skill together, while in theory it seems like a perfectly good idea, overtime it has proved to be quite a controversial subject in the Warzone community.

There has been multiple reasons why players feel negatively about the SBMM, many have already called for it to be removed from the game. Raven Software are yet to address players concerns, however it has been said that they are making some changes to the system.
‘ModernWarzone’ took to Twitter to share with fans that they had received a heap of reports from players that have used special routers and VPNs in order to navigate around the SBMM, well now it seems that they have been placed into lobbies where these methods are no longer working.

The Tweet read “Receiving reports that SBMM has been changed in #Warzone. Most notably those who used VPN’s and special routers to get easier lobbies have reported that their methods no longer work, and that VPN’s are useless now. Will find out more details and do a full report on this soon.”

Of course there is no official evidence at present to support these claims so we must take this information with a pinch of salt.
Many fans are hoping that Raven Software or Activision will make an official statement in order to clear up the confusion, however so far there has been no comment from either leaving fans with a whirlwind of questions.
