Recent leaks have claimed that Black Ops Cold War’s version of Warzone will feel similar to Infinity Wards version and will feature many of the same mechanics players are familiar with.

A few weeks ago it was revealed that the battle royale component from Modern Warfare would be integrated into Raven Software and Treyarchs game Black Ops Cold War.

Players will be pleased to know that all of the content they have earned in Warzone will carry over into the Cold War version of the game, this caused a lot of confusion for fans who were wondering how blueprints of modern guns would fit into a game set during the Cold War.

Luckily we now have some answers as to how the content will be integrated between the two games:

Tom Henderson (formerly known as TheLongSensation) a well know leaker in the community, claims that the battle royale portion of Black Ops Cold War will essentially be the same as Modern Warfares. With all new weapons, vehicles and other cosmetics being added that will better fit the era.

The mechanics of the game will remain the same, making it sound as though Warzone will basically be getting a Cold War makeover. Everything you love and hate about the game, like mounting, doors, and sliding, will all be staying in the game.

Rumours also claim a new map is being worked on with a setting that better fits the era, however it wont be ready for a while as the game isn’t set to release for another couple of months.

Activision had pervasively said that Warzone would be a standalone game and would stick around despite new Call of Duty games being released, so it’s interesting to see how they can make the battle royale element relate to any new games.
