We’re only a few short weeks away from the Call of Duty: Vanguard release in November, and new information is still coming out about the game.
The title is planning to launch with an incredible 20 multiplayer maps and it looks as though some of these maps could be fan favourites from previous titles in the franchise.
It’s not unheard of for Call of Duty titles to feature some classic maps from previous games, after all we saw Cold War feature Express from Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare included Crash from Call of Duty 4.
And it looks like Vanguard will be no exception as it is planned to include some classic maps from the franchise’s past.
Dataminers have recently revealed that there is a good chance the upcoming title will feature maps from both Modern Warfare 3 and World at War.
VCG recently reported the full list of maps that are set to be included in Vanguard, amongst the list there was a series of maps players have experienced in the Vanguard beta such as the four Champion Hill arenas and Gavutu.
The list also included Dome, Castle and Sub Pen which some long time players will remember from World At War, Oasis was also listed and was a classic map from Modern Warfare 3.
Of course, we must remember that just because references to the maps have been found, it doesn’t always mean they’ll make it into the game. However if it does prove to be correct we’re pretty sure fans would be delighted to see the return of some of their favourite maps.
On the other hand, just because the maps have the same name does not guarantee it is a remake of the original map, fans will just have to wait this one out and see which maps launch with the game.
