Console games will soon start to feature TV style adverts.
There is nothing worse than having your favourite TV show interrupted by annoying adverts, well now it will be happening wile playing your video game.

A recent report from Axios, a company named playerWON has signed a deal with EA and other companies which will find a way to include TV style adverts into console games.
The company, playerWON has detailed that it is “a first-of-its-kind in-game advertising platform”, it has also been said that they have been carrying out different tests for their ad-based tech for just over a year.

Now, it seems they will be making the jump to actual console games, although it may not be as bad as you think.
Apparently, these adverts will not be interrupting players games in the middle but instead will be chosen to watch by the player and then they will be given rewards.

According to the company, Smite, the free-to-play battle game underwent testing for these adverts throughout last year.
Results from Smite showed that players of the game were 22% more likely to make in-game purchases and spend longer playing the game if they watched ads while playing that rewarded them will special in-game perks.

So, it seems that now playerWON will be launching in-game ads more and more before the end of the year.
