Rumours may have circulated that a remaster of The Simpsons: Hit & Run would be just around the corner, unfortunately with time continuing to pass and no nods to a future release, it’s not looking good for an official remaster of the fan favourite game.

However, all hope is not lost as recently a player has took to Playstation’s Dreams to recreate the iconic game. For those who don’t know, Dreams is a game creation system which gives player the ability to create almost anything in game.

Over the years we have seen some pretty impressive recreations in Dreams, from Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 4 and The Last of Us, pretty much anything that you can dream up can be recreated in the game.

Creator ‘ReivaJKH’ has managed to dream up and execute an uncanny likeness of The Simpsons: Hit & Run. You can even switch it up between different characters in the family.

The amazing recreating was uploaded to Youtube showing us the full features of what this recreation can do, it also gives us some pretty good insight into what the game could look like if an official remaster was actually to happen.

Although the recreation isn’t quite Hit and Run as you can’t actually drive the family’s famous pink car although this version does include Maggie with a gun!

The original version originally debuted in 2003 on the GameCube, Xbox and PS2, the game took inspiration from Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto.

So, if you miss getting behind the wheel of Mr Burn’s Limo or driving around Springfield then it’s worth checking out this recreation in the meantime. Fans can’t help but wonder why we haven’t seen a remaster in the works already, but let’s hope this recreation get some cogs turning.
