Many of the iconic areas in Verdansk have been reworked in the new Verdansk 84′ map, here is some of the maps key changes.

The new map transports players back in time to fit in with the storyline of Black Ops Cold War after a huge nuclear blast took place leading to the destruction of the Verdansk map as we know it.

The dark and dreary colours of the original map have been swapped out for a more bright and vibrant colour palette, although the layout of the map doesn’t differ too much from its former state a lot of the iconic landmarks and structures have been traded out for other buildings.

Here are some of the biggest changes you should check out:

  • Old Mine (New)

Located below Gora Summit is a new location that has been traded for the sparse buildings that could be found south of Dam back on the old map. This is in a bid to create a break in some of the more empty spaces on the map, while it’s still a fairly small area it is a good location to make use of.

  • Verdansk Airport

The overall outside look of the airport has remained similar to the original however the inside has undergone some major changes. Areas located on the second floor that has previously been destroyed are now brand new, the control tower is also still intact with its famous 360 view still available.

  • Airplane Factory

This location has seemed to replace the white tanks that were previously located by the superstore and Airport. The areas concrete town and tall smokestacks could add a whole new line of sight to the airport.

  • Grid Array

This area is probably the most obvious change to the skyline of Verdansk, Grid Array can be found located to the northeast of the Quarry. It consists of a large structure with a building located at the base of the area.

  • Karst Salt Mines (Quarry Pit)

This area was formerly known as Quarry Pit and was well knows for the huge warehouses that surrounded the area. Since the renovation of the map, this area has now become Karst Salt Mines, this has corrected the previous issue of players not being able to enter building in this location.

  • Downtown

This area seems to have thinned out in terms of volume of buildings, this will make gunfights run smoother in this location. Also the buildings can be seen to have received a lick of paint and look visibly brighter.

  • Verdansk Stadium

This isn’t the first time the stadium has undergone a makeover, the building itself has gone through many changes since Warzone’s release. Verdansk 84′ has seen the stadium change into an unfinished structure, with part of the building still being under construction.

  • Standoff

Last but not least players will find that there is a huge section of the map that is incredibly similar to the iconic Black Ops 2 map Standoff. Standoff can be located next to where the old Gulag is located, which is similar to Season 1 & 2’s Nuketown Gulag.
