Take-Two have recently hinted at a potential Red Dead Redemption remake in their latest financial earnings report.
Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has released its latest quarterly earnings report, which provides some details about the publisher’s next releases, including a potential remake of Red Dead Redemption.
Of course, like most financial reports, it is loaded with lots of information regarding the company, however a quick trawl through the facts and data reveals some intriguing insights.
Apart from predicting another record-breaking year thanks to a host of fan-favourite titles, the business has also made it clear that they expect to release 62 new games by the end of 2024.
Take-Two’s report also appears to hint that the business aims to release a certain amount of “new iterations of previously released titles” which suggests that there will more ports and remakes such as GTA V or Red Dead Redemption on next-gen systems.
Six titles are expected to be released in 2022, and three more before the conclusion of 2024. Although Take-Two has a large portfolio of well-known IPs and popular titles, the original Red Dead Redemption is a plausible candidate for a next-gen update.
Of course there is no way to know for certain if this will definitely come into fruition so we must take this theory with a pinch of salt, although we will be keeping our fingers crossed and our eyes peeled for any future announcements.
