The gaming world used to be predominantly thought of as a mostly male space, however over the years it has came a long way.

The gaming industry has came leaps and bounds over the years, giving players the option to play as a wide variety of characters.

The days are over where gamers were limited to playing as Mario, so now if you wish to play as Princess Peach or any female character for that fact the options are available, and it actually turns out that many male gamers actually prefer playing as female characters.

A recent survey from Quantic Foundry has shown that one out of three men actually prefer playing as female characters while gaming.
