Battlefield fans who remember the squad revive mechanic will be pleased to know that we will be seeing it returning in the upcoming Battlefield 2042 title.

The squad revive mechanic we have seen previously in Battlefield V will be making a return in this years Battlefield 2042 title, this time named “budd revive.”
We first saw this in Battlefield V and it allowed players to revive their teammates once downed, although it would take longer than a Medic and would not reinstate the player to full health.
The most recent Battlefield Briefing confirmed its return as it mentioned how one of the Specialist’s Combat Surgeon Trait’s is different from a squad revive.

The post read “As for Traits, let’s take a closer look at Falck, equipped with the Combat Surgeon Trait. Combat Surgeon allows Falck to revive allies to full health. This gives her an advantage over players using Squad Revive, which we’re bringing back “.
The briefing also mentioned how players will not be able to battle inside of buildings, all fighting will take place on the rooftops and lobbies of buildings.

It went on to sat that players will not be able to use every level of a skyscraper but rooftop and lobby combat can be used and accessed via ziplines.
“You will not be able to play on every level of a skyscraper. But you can expect lobby and rooftop combat, which can be accessed via elevators and ziplines. As fighting on all levels of a skyscraper would be an entire map of its own, this prevents detracting from the rest of the map”.
