Giant steps are being taken in the gaming industry as Sony begin to ramp up plans to create mobile games using PlayStation IPs. Sony CFO, Hiroki Totoki recently spoke out saying that the company has plans up their sleeve to release new mobile games using PlayStation IPs.
In a recent investors conference call, Sony revealed their plans for mobile games along with releasing around 10 live service titles following its acquisition of Bungie.

This news come after Jim Ryan, CEO of PlayStation mentioned last year that the company would begin “exploring the mobile market” which also coincided with the companies search for a new Head of Mobile.
Now it seems that the ball may be rolling on some of these projects as Totoki recently had this to say “The mobile gaming market is included within our growth plans. We consider it to be a good opportunity to bring PlayStation IPs to more users. While we can’t comment on a specific timeframe, we can definitively say that there are plans to bring PlayStation IPs to mobile … Specific details about the expansion will be announced at a later date.”
Once this gets going, it looks as if players will have a wide variety of games to choose from as Sony has over 2 years of IPs to choose from.
