The gaming world is eagerly awaiting Rockstar Games’ official announcement about Grand Theft Auto 6, but it seems that fans are already getting a taste of what’s to come. Thanks to a series of leaks last year, we know that the game is set to revisit the iconic Vice City and will feature new weapons, locations, and even a female protagonist.
However, the leaks seem to reveal more than just the basics. A Reddit user, who goes by the handle ‘ML-Fox,’ has shared information outlining a mysterious storyline dubbed “Missing Tourists,” which suggests that Vice City has a serial killer on the loose. Six specific events have been identified in connection to this narrative. These events include “Trophy room,” where protagonists Lucia and Jason potentially discover belongings of the serial killer’s victims, as well as “Submerged car victims,” “Junkyard victim,” “Cave victims,” “Trailer victim,” and an unreadable event.
Adding intrigue to this plotline, this wouldn’t be the first time Rockstar Games has ventured into the territory of serial killers. Fans will remember GTA 5’s Infinity Killer and Red Dead Redemption 2’s American Dreams quest.
The setting of Vice City also offers its own set of clues. The city, a fictionalized take on Miami, raises the possibility that this serial killer may be a nod to the character Dexter from the Showtime series. Dexter, portrayed by Michael C. Hall, is a forensic technician by day and a serial killer by night.
As for when fans can dive into this riveting narrative, Take-Two’s CEO has recently hinted that GTA 6 could be released as early as 2024. Furthermore, rumors are swirling about an imminent trailer drop, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
With so many intriguing elements already coming to light, one thing is for certain: when GTA 6 is finally revealed, it’s bound to capture the attention of gamers globally. Stay tuned for further updates.
