Take-Two’s CEO claims that the gaming subscription service now has over 30 million users.
Microsoft’s Game Pass has grown in popularity over the past few years, it doesn’t look like that’s going to slow down anytime soon.
Xbox Game Pass offers players a variety of games for an affordable monthly subscription including some huge Xbox exclusives from launch. The subscription service is also regularly updated with brand new titles from every genre so there’s something for every type of player.
Now, Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Take-Two Interactive has revealed that Xbox Game Pass has potentially surpassed 30 million subscribers.
Zelnick was talking about the service in a podcast episode of TheGrill with Xbox boss Phil Spencer and when defending the decision for Take-Two not to support Xbox Game Pass he let slip the service’s numbers while congratulating Spencer.
Zelnick said “You’ve got around 30 mil subs, Phil. Something like that?”
Although Spencer did not confirm the number, the last amount that was share publicly stated that the subscriber count for Xbox Game Pass was at 18 million.
Of course, we don’t know currently if this number is correct or not, there is every possibility it could have been a comment made in jest or it could well be accurate information.
If this is true and Xbox Game Pass has reached 30 million subscribers, we are pretty sure they would love to share this information, so if it proves to be true we could be receiving an update in numbers soon.
