The recent job listings on Rockstar’s website has lead fans to believe the much anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 could be in the final stages of development.
Fans have been waiting years for the next instalment in the series and since the release of the next gen consoles PS5 and Xbox Series X/S it seems like the perfect time to bring forward a new Grand Theft Auto title.
Although, so far there has been no official confirmation from Rockstar Games that the title actually exists let alone being developed, however a series of new job listings from the company has raised a few eyebrows and got fans wondering if maybe a big announcement in looming closer.
The job listings call for game testers at Rockstar India, Lincoln and North which have lead players into thinking this could be something to do with GTA 6.
The listing states that people in this role have the responsibility of weeding out bugs in the game and reporting any issues they may fine during gameplay, along with submitting reports that include screenshots and videos.
It was also noted that in Rockstar India’s job listing, it called for a person who has “knowledge and experience of Rockstar’s recent titles” which many found peculiar as this was the only listing which called for this requirement.
There is also the suggestion that these positions could be in relation to the GTA V port that is supposed to be headed to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S which has no yet been released.
There is also a standalone version of GTA Online that will require testing, so there is no way to tell exactly what the job roles are for exactly.
GTA fans will just have hang fire and wait for an official announcement from Rockstar Games to learn the fate of the future GTA franchise, but in the meantime be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
