The long-anticipated release of “Red Dead Redemption” on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch has not been without its share of criticism. While fans have expressed concerns over pricing and the quality of this so-called “revision”, a new wrinkle has been added to the mix— trophy requirements.
According to recent reports from Exophase, players aiming for the coveted Platinum trophy will now have to delve into the “Undead Nightmare” DLC. Notably, one of the toughest challenges mandates players to achieve Level 5 across all challenges and complete the game mode with a 100% score.
Originally launched in 2010 for the PS3 and Xbox 360, many expected the new port to come with enhanced features such as improved textures or a higher frame rate. However, Rockstar has clarified that this is nearly a 1:1 port of the PS3 version. The package consolidates the base game and the Undead Nightmare DLC, without adding any significant improvements.
Interestingly, the game excludes the multiplayer mode. This absence might explain the integration of the DLC trophies, possibly as a compensatory move. As fans gear up to dive back into the Wild West, these new trophy challenges are set to add another layer of intrigue to this classic title.
