Rockstar Games have recently revealed that the Red Dead Online Halloween event will be launching this week, along with a Halloween Event ‘battle pass’. The event is said to bring “bleak tidings, and an eerie tinge to the atmosphere of the Wild West” so it looks like there will be plenty of spooky goings on for players to explore.
Expect some seasonal All Hallows’ Call to Arms modes to make an appearance in the game too, which will allow players to take on hordes of enemies in a brand new spooky take one Red Dead’s standoffs. These will be located in some ominous areas such as Shady Belle, Butcher Creek, Armadillo and Bolger Glade and will include “alligators and cougars hungry for flesh, and a supernatural ghost train haunting the town of Armadillo”.
There will also be an additional mode named Dead of Night, which will see four teams battle it out in order to scoop up the mist kills in a “never-ending tide of The Dead”. Players who are victorious in this mode will be able to select their own choice of ability card along with collecting double rewards when participating this week.
Red Dead Online fans will also be able to take advantage of free snacks in the game along with a series of masks such as Horror, Slaughter, Freak, Creature and Masquerade which will be available in Madam Nazard’s store.
The Halloween Pass 2 will launch on October 28, the pass will be a limited time upgrade which will be “packed with grim and gruesome rewards spread across 15 ranks”. The even will run from October 28 through until November 22, so make sure you’re around to get a slice of the action.
