One outfit that has been getting to players recently is the selection of camo outfits that are on offer, of course they can be incredibly helpful given the right setting however sometimes they can pose as issue as they make enemies go completely undetectable.

This has rubbed some fans up the wrong way, as players can quite literally use real money to get an advantage in the game, however the titles developers have since become aware of the issue and it seems they are taking action.

There is currently a rim light effect in the testing stages in order to help combat the issue, this will help players stand out more making it easier for them to be seen.

In a recent blog post the devs said “We know that certain operator skins are well-known for blending into some environments, and this has led to situations where players felt they were at an unfair disadvantage. Our solution is to add a rim lighting effect to operators.”

They also went on to say “So far, we’re quite happy with the results and feel it is cohesive with the art style of the game. We are in the process of aligning on the colour of the rim lighting, and ensuring the effect is consistent across the game’s many unique cosmetics.”

“At the end of the day, we want players to be able to choose the cosmetics they want without gaining an unfair advantage of any kind.”

Hopefully this will put some players at ease who have felt that enemies were previously too hard to see, this update is set to launch during Y6S3.
