PUBG’s brand new map seems to have a Warzone-style Gulag where players have the chance to battle it out for a second chance.
PUBG’s latest map, Taego has finally made its way to PC test servers along with some brand new features, one of which being a self revive mechanic similar to Warzone’s Gulag.
It is explained the patch notes that Taego is a 8×8 map and has a 1980’s South Korea setting, the map also has a series of different landscapes for players to explore.
The map also included a host of different animals, with many wild birds located in different areas. The birds also react to players movements and gunfire which could be helpful in locating enemies.
The most prominent feature of the new map has to be the Comeback BR which allows players who die in the game to battle it out and earn a second chance.
Players will be transported to a “Comeback Arena’ for a limited amount of time, all they must do to succeed is remain alive.
Of course, it shares similarities with Warzone’s Gulag however it could be describes as a mini battle royale type set up rather than Warzone’s one on one battles.
Another new feature that has been added is the the self revive, the Self AED will allow players to self revive and is exclusive to Taego.
There is also a new survivor pass, which of course is based on Taego however this time players will be able to gather bonus awards when they level up beyond level 50.
If you can’t wait to get a slice of the action, you won’t have too much longer to wait as the update will be available on July 7 for PC and July 15 for consoles.
