Fans will be pleased to know that PUBG is finally free to play although ranked matches will still be available at a cost.
PUBG: Battlegrounds recently went under a 37 maintenance period, however it made it out the other side as now a free-to-play title after having first announced the transition back in December.

It was revealed at the end of last year that the title would be dropping its price tag and would be instead a free-to-play title and follow in the footsteps as other popular competitors Fortnite and Apex Legends.
Although ranked and custom matches will set players back $13 for Battlegrounds Plus.

For those players who have previously purchases the game will have their accounts automatically upgraded to Battlegrounds Plus along with receiving a special commemorative pack.
Krafton is also offering players a number of rewards in celebration of the relaunch, players will now be able to complete a number of in-game missions along with watching streams and inviting friends to play.
There will also be a new update taking place which will see the introduction of brand new tactical gear, a series of training modes and action queueing.
Although the game is somewhat quieter than we have seen in previous years, it still holds a pretty impressive player count, so there is no time like the present to dive in and get a slice of the action.
