Following the recent Battlefield 2042 beta, it seems that fans are calling for the title to be delayed for a little longer.
Players recently got a taste of Battlefield 2042 in the beta that began on October 6 but some fans were less than impressed as they stumbled across a number of issues.
After participating in the beta, it didn’t take long for fans to flood social media with complaints about the game, many reported a number of connection and performance issues.
Now, it seems that players are begging for the game to be delayed, hopefully this could give the developers the time they need to iron out these issues.
Even, well known leaker Tom Henderson has taken to Twitter to call for a delay, the post read “When you wish the second #Battlefield2042 delay was real”.
And it doesn’t stop there, many players took to the Battlefield subreddit to express their concerns, the most popular post from ‘TheSyfilisk’ read “Battlefield 2042 Looks Worse Than BF1 and Plays Worse Than BF4”.
“The fact that not only is the gameplay dynamic (the gameplay dynamic/flow, not an adjective) unlike any Battlefield game, which is horrible because it doesn’t work (admittedly this is one map and one that was theorized to have problems and matchmaking/ping problems of the beta do affect this),”
“the game looks worse than their 2016 rendition BF1 and weapon impacts are lesser than Battlefield 4. There is nothing about this game in my personal opinion that breaks any ground or works seamlessly together except the rare weather events and how they influence the battle and play choice”
“I didn’t like it from the moment I set my eyes on it but gave it a strong chance, the ‘bias’ isn’t without merit and is now confirmed”.
“I felt as if I was playing Warzone with inferior mechanics because the BF core element, the classes, aren’t there… Why would you ever do that. The talent is just. Not. There. It’s clear the people that understand good, original and Battlefield design are gone”.
The post was then flooded with hundreds of comments from fans who also seemed to be in agreement, one user wrote “100% agree. Game had been very fun and very good. No, the map doesn’t have “flow” or other issues, and the game plays fine. People are so unapologetically full of shit, it’s annoying.”
Another said “Everything else I can kind of tolerate but the guns feel so off. Floaty. And there’s too much going on, the visual recoil, the screen changing colours little icons popping on and off. It feels bad.”
Of course, there were some players who disagreed and enjoyed playing he Battlefield 2042 beta although it seems the majority faced some issues.
Could a delay help? It is unclear if this will even happen, players will have to keep their fingers crossed that these issues can be rectified before the official launch.
