Gamers who are old enough to remember the early 2000s will remember the hype around RuneScape when it first launched, and there’s a good chance that many of you are still playing it even all these years later.
Now one dedicated artist has taken it upon themselves to remaster the games most iconic location in Unreal Engine 5, and it looks incredible.
In more recent days, fans have complained that the game could do with a graphics update, Old School RuneScape, still uses the same graphics, colour palette, and render distance. Now we can see exactly what we could have if the game was brought to modern hardware in the right way.

Only hardcore fans will remember the Legends’ Guild, players had to complete a good portion of the end-game content before being able to visit it. Now you can see it like you never have before.
The entire castle has been recreated, including the large fountain out front, the foliage, and even the surrounding hills which are normally hidden by the games poor render distance, showing only as a black background.
RuneScape has had graphic updates in the past, but nothing compared to this. It’s highly unlikely that we will ever see an official RuneScape game with more realistic graphics, and there’s a good chance that fans wouldn’t even want that, after being updated, Jagex had to release and Old School version of the game in 2013 after fans complained about the new graphics.
