The much anticipated Nintendo Switch Pro will get an incredible increase in power according to industry insiders.
The Switch console brought Nintendo fans something different and innovative with its unique play style and handheld capabilities. Since the consoles release back in 2017, it has continued to grow in popularity. At one point last year the console was completely sold out for months as fan tried to get a console to play the newly released Animal Crossing.

This allows players to decorate their Animal Crossing islands, fly around the Mario Galaxy or take part in a match on Rocket League no matter where they are in the world. Although this untethering isn’t all smooth sailing, the 720p resolution is sometimes difficult for some games to maintain.
These bumps in the road sometimes cause it to be avoided by some players, however this could all be a thing of the past when Nintendo unveil the new console.

The new version of the Nintendo Switch, which has unofficially been named the ‘Nintendo Switch Pro’ could bring something new to the table. It has recently been revealed by industry insiders that the upcoming new console will feature new Nvidia tech.
This new technology will allow the new Switch model to use DLSS in order to offer fans upscaled resolutions. It has also been said that when the console is connected to the docking station, it will be able to offer 4K resolution, along with more memory and a stronger chipset.
What does this mean for existing Switch titles?
Well, this upgrade in technology will cause big changes to the console meaning that previous titles will be able to take advantage of the new tech as long as their developers provide updates for the games.
The ‘Switch Pro’ is rumoured to be released in the latter half of this year and boast an impressive 7 inch screen. With the release date rumoured to be so close it could mean that we see developers waiting for the new console before they release any new games.
