Nintendo confirmed Zelda prequel Hyrule Warriors release

Following the success of Zelda: Breath of the Wild many fans were hoping and expecting a release of Breathe of the Wild 2, however Nitendo had other ideas. They have surprised players with a release of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, a prequel to Breath of the Wild.

For those who have not played Breath of the Wild, you can get it here.

Hyrule Warriors is set to have taken place 100 years prior to BOTW and will feature Dynasty Warrior style battles. The game is based on the Great Calamity that took place 100 years before, hence the name.

You will be able to play as the four champion characters Daruk, Mipha, Revali and Urbosa, along with Link and Zelda.

There will be various oppurtunities in the game to unlock different weapons and skill sets along with crafting and puzzle solving.

The game is set to release November 21st and will be headed for Nintedo Switch console.

Koei Tecmo the maker of Hyrule Warriors back in 2014 said the game will hang onto the style of the previous Warriors series.

Fans are still hanging on hoping that Nintendo will drop a BOTW 2, however with nothing confirmd it’s just a waiting game for now.
