A recent job listing from EA suggests that the next entry in the Battlefield franchise will feature a single player campaign.
It looks like the era of multiplayer only Battlefield games could be coming to an end as EA are currently looking for a director for a brand new Battlefield single player campaign.
A new job listing located on EA’s careers site is calling for a design director at Battlefield Seattle, the listing is looking for a candidate that will be able “to embrace the core tenets of the Battlefield franchise and make sure they are woven through all layers of a masterfully designed single player campaign.”

EA is hoping to find someone with 10 years of experience at director level under their belt.
The position was initially posted back in February of this year, however it has just recently been spotted by Twitter account BFBulletin who took to the platform to share the news.
The post read “ICYMI: According to a job listing by EA, Marcus Lehto’s Seattle studio is looking for a Design Director to manage the design team & design vision of a “new #Battlefield single player campaign experience” while embracing “the core tenets” of the franchise”.

It is unclear just when we will see this new single player campaign come to light, it’s safe to assume that it could be a few years before this project actually reaches completion.
