New Nintendo Switch OLED Announced And Release Date Revealed

Nintendo fans will be pleased to know the long anticipated Nintendo Switch console has finally been announced.

Nintendo have finally announced its brand new Switch OLED console, the company have revealed details of the console along with a release date set for later this year.

Rumours have been surfacing for quite some time now regarding a new Nintendo Switch console, however the wait is finally over as Nintendo have announced the brand new console that will be hitting the shelves late this year.

The new Switch OLED console will feature a seven inch OLED screen with a resolution of 1280x720p. Previous rumours had speculated that the console would have a much larger screen than previous models, and this has proved to be the case.

The reveal trailer gives fans some insight into just how much of a difference the bigger screen will make, given that console will have an OLED screen, it will make a huge difference to gameplay.

The Nintendo Switch Pro will be available from October 12, 2021 so there’s not too much longer to wait if you want to get your hands on the new device.

Even the consoles stand looks a lot larger than we have seen with the previous model and also comes with a LAN port which will allow for players to get a hold of a more sturdy internet connection for online play.

The Switch OLED will also feature a memory of 64GB which is double of what was offered with the previous model. Players will also be able to add a microSD card, giving them access to store more games that ever before.

The console will be available in two different colours too, one being white and also a red and blue model paying homage to the original Switch colours.

The Switch OLED will be priced at $349.99 and will be available to purchase later this year on October 8.
