It’s official! A decade after its last installment, Delta Force is back in the spotlight with a brand-new game. This exciting revelation was recently announced via a teaser trailer by IGN, and fans of the classic FPS shooter have reason to rejoice.
The game, which is under development by the renowned TiMi Studios Group, marks a much-anticipated return for the franchise. The previous title, “Delta Force: Xtreme 2”, graced our screens way back in 2009, and fans have long been clamoring for more.
Eager enthusiasts won’t have to wait long for a comprehensive look at what the game offers. A full reveal has been confirmed for Gamescom, which takes place on August 22.

In a detailed conversation with IGN, producer Shadow Guo opened up about the vision and the heart of this project. It appears that TiMi Studios Group is intensely focused on realistic military combat – a hallmark that made the original Delta Force games such a hit. Guo emphasized the team’s dedication to “creating a vast, unpredictable world brimming with diverse missions and challenges.”
But what’s especially intriguing is the game’s promise of blending traditional Delta Force gameplay with fresh narrative and artistic elements. Guo added, “Our goal is to celebrate the true spirit of the original Delta Force while introducing contemporary aspects, both in art and story.”
To ensure an immersive and authentic gaming experience, the developers are not leaving any stone unturned. From developing deep and realistic storylines to employing actors for enhanced character dynamics, every aspect is meticulously crafted. Notably, the team has enlisted the expertise of Special Forces professionals to nail down the finer, authentic details of military operations.
Drawing inspiration from cinematic narratives, the game’s plot is rooted in the 2001 Ridley Scott masterpiece, “Black Hawk Down”. Players can anticipate reliving the intense events of the real-life 1993 Battle of Mogadishu.
As for the multiplayer mode, Guo dropped some hints that have certainly piqued interest. A sprawling multiplayer environment awaits players, designed to host battles with well over 32 participants. In an era where crossplay is increasingly popular, the game doesn’t disappoint. Players from PC, consoles, and even mobile can engage in epic face-offs.
As the gaming community gears up for Gamescom, all eyes will be on this latest Delta Force installment. Whether you’re a fan of the original series or new to the franchise, this game promises an exhilarating ride.
