DICE and Industrial Toys are working on a Battlefield Mobile game that will release in 2022.
All the attention is on Battlefield 6 at the moment, but DICE could be about to surprise us with a mobile version of Battlefield.
The mobile version of the game will be completely separate to the one that will be launching later this year for console and PC, instead the mobile version will be optimised for use on mobile devices and tablets.
The mobile experience will give players the chance to experience Battlefield and all it has to offer on-the-go, the news came alongside the announcement that fans could expect to see this years instalment in the Battlefield franchise soon.
This wouldn’t be the first time that DICE has released a Battlefield mobile game, we saw the integration of mobile feature ‘Commander’ into Battlefield 4 back in 2013.
This mobile feature gave players the chance to work in teams, each with a chosen commander who would be able to look over the map from a PC or tablet, the commander was then able to offer support and assistance to their team by strategically placing UAVs to allow them to see vehicles, supply crates and enemies.
Although this app has since been removed from app stores leaving the only way to access it being by PC. It has remained unclear as to why this app was removed from stores, could it be that the app faced some technical difficulties or was there simply not a large enough player base?
This new Battlefield mobile game seems to be a huge step forward in the right direction with many other popular games jumping on mobile platforms too.
Fans can expect to see the game release in 2022, but in the meantime be sure to check back with us at Gamerficial for the latest news and updates.
