Apex Legends has seen a massive boost to it’s player base recently thanks to Warzone’s ongoing cheating pandemic.
As the title moves into its tenth season, it brings with is a host of content and features such as brand new Legend Seer.
These new features seem to have encourage some of the biggest content creators and streamers to join the game, taking the genre’s views to the top overtaking popular battle royale title Warzone.
Warzone itself has been face some serious hacking issues which has seen some of the top name gamers and streamers ditch the game in favour of Apex Legends and other titles.
It seems that Timothy ‘TimTheTatman’ John Betar has also made the leap to Apex Legends and seems to be enjoying it.
The content creator decided he would carry out a colossal pack opening including over 500 Apex packs.
Tim checked out his viewership numbers mid way though the epic pack opening he came to the realisation that his stream was being watched by more viewers than all of the Warzone streamers.
He said “We’ve got 117,000 viewers here, and I just want you all to know you’re all gambling addicts”.
“I currently, opening 500 Apex Packs, have more viewers than the entire Warzone category.”
Warzone at this time was currently at 116,000 viewers although Tim was still beating them by a few hundred viewers.
The goal of the pack opening was to find Caustic’s heirloom, which was eventually located after 469 packs which was enough to gather shards to create the hammer.
I guess fans have not found this turn of events surprising considering just how many players are leaving Warzone, and it seems that this won’t improve until the hacking issues are tackled.
