New details have emerged regarding the upcoming Modern Warfare 3 game, thanks to leaks from an internal alpha testing. Twitter user @BobNetworkUK, who seems to have gained access to these leaks, suggests Sledgehammer Games will be addressing significant issues that previously left players dissatisfied with Modern Warfare 2.
Key among the leaks is the news that both the classic mini map and Ninja Perk, much-loved features in the game series, will be reintroduced. Bob further revealed that perks will be reimagined as ‘gear’, with each gear set acting as a distinct perk. For instance, a particular set of boots might offer players the ‘Ninja’ perk, while another could provide the ‘Marathon’ perk.
Moreover, @BobNetworkUK claimed that War mode, a popular gameplay feature from Call of Duty: WW2, is also expected to make a comeback in Modern Warfare 3. Visually, the game bears a strong resemblance to Modern Warfare 2, which aligns with expectations, given that it was initially planned as an MW2 DLC.
Recently leaked images suggest Modern Warfare 3 will feature some iconic maps from past Call of Duty games. While these proposed modifications have largely been well-received by the gaming community, it remains to be seen if they will be substantial enough to reinvigorate the franchise. The game is scheduled to release on November 10, available on platforms such as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Keep in mind that all these details are based on the internal alpha version of the game and could potentially change before the official release.
