The Day Before is currently sitting on top Steam’s most wish listed games, but a recent update to the games engine has forced the developers to push the release date back until March of 2023.
Developer Fntastic said that the title will be making the leap over to Epic’s new Unreal Engine 5 technology, this mean that the game will no longer be able to meet its scheduled release date of June 21.
The title takes pace in a post-pandemic America in which players will have to battle it out against other zombie infected enemies as well as other survivors.

Fntastic mentioned how much support there has been for the game as well as the fact they have high hopes that the title will meet fans expectations using Unreal Engine 5.
Devs have said “the transition to a more advanced and adapted open worlds engine will make the gameplay of The Day Before even more fantastic”.
From what we have seen already from the games trailers, it already looks impressive, so it will definitely be interesting to see how the completed game will look.
