Kart_tour thinks this could have something to so with Nintendo changing between game engines, there has also been speculation regarding emulation which could mean Mario Kart Tour could be included in the Google Play Games PC program which puts specific titles on PC.
If this proves to be correct, we could be seeing Mario Kart Tour on Windows 11 very soon, although it could be that the game is emulated from phone to PC instead of getting a full PC port.
