Now it seems that fans are hoping for a MW3 remaster and it appears that their prayers could be answered soon.
Rumours have surfaced suggesting that a MW3 Campaign will be on its way sooner than we think, if the leak proves to be correct we could see it release later this year.
The information came from leaker ‘TheMW2Ghost’ who took to Twitter on the 1st of May, the Tweet claimed that a Modern Warfare 3 Campaign will be arriving in 2021. It was even suggested that it may come in the form of a PlayStation exclusive in the beginning.

The Tweet read “Was told that MW3 Campaign remastered is definitely coming this year, and should be coming Q2 which is the original plan, one month exclusive to PlayStation”.
TheMW2Ghost then went on to clarify further in an additional tweet which read “Worded this a bit weird So, it was originally set for Q2 of this year under a deal with PlayStation, but not sure if that’s still the case (date). Apparently it’s definitely still coming at some point this year”.

So, this means the game may have suffered a slight delay as quarter two of the year could have been anywhere from March through to the end of May.
Though it may have encountered some delays, the leak is certain that the title will “definitely” be arriving later this year. Sadly, for fans it seems as though it will again be a Campaign only remaster, so it’s likely we won’t be seeing a new version of MW3’s multiplayer just yet.

As with any leak we must take this information with a pinch of salt, there is no way to tell if this information is correct, fans will just have to hang on for an official announcement from Activision.
