Call of Duty players are already gearing up for 2023’s release as a well known leaker has revealed the title will be set in a “semi-futuristic” setting.
As we approach the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard later this year in November, it seems it’s not enough to satisfy fans as have started looking further down the line into 2022 and 2023’s releases.
While we have previously heard rumours of Call of Duty 2022 being a sequel to 2019’s Modern Warfare, however nothing is yet known about 2023’s title.
Now, a well known leaker has recently claimed to know what 2023’s Call of Duty game will look like.
Originally reported by CharlieIntel as a reputable leaker responded to one of their Twitter posts about 2022’s Call of Duty title.
Tom Henderson replied to the post saying “Treyarch’s next game is also semi-futuristic (boots on the ground) if you want 2023 info”.
Although, we must take this information with a pinch of salt as it is still very early days and nothing is yet confirmed.
There weren’t any further details revealed other than the title will take place in a semi-futuristic setting, so there is no way to tell if this game will be a continuation of the series of if it will be the start of something completely new.
Of course, 2023 is still quite a while off yet however Call of Duty titles do work in a rotation between the studios Sledgehammer Games, Raven Software, Infinity Ward and Treyarch.
