Fans could be getting their hands on the Modern Warfare 3 remaster sooner than they think.
Call of Duty fans have been hoping for a Modern Warfare 3 remaster for quite some time, after the release of the remastered single player of Modern Warfare 2 last year, players are hoping that Modern Warfare 3 will soon follow.
Rumours and leaks of the remaster have been surfacing thick and fast online recently, however the speculation has seemed to die down which has left many fans questioning if a remaster was ever in the pipeline.
Even though the rumours have died down, one well known Call of Duty leaker has recently claimed that Activision are actually working on the remaster. It has also been suggested that the Modern Warfare 3 remaster will release alongside this years upcoming Call of Duty 2021 title.
Popular leaker ‘TheMW2Ghost’ has claimed that Activision seems to have broken their contract with Sony which would have launched the title on PlayStation ahead of other platforms.
TheMW2Ghost took to Twitter to share the news with fans.
The post read “Got a report that ATVI has broken contract with Sony pertaining to Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered. Essentially it means they can probably just bundle it with CoD 2021 and have it release on both platforms at once (just an example). I’ll update when I can on this.”
If these claims prove to be correct, we will see Modern Warfare 3 release alongside this years Call of Duty title.
This would make sense, as we have already seen the first two titles be remastered, it seems like the next step for Activision to remaster Modern Warfare 3.
