Recently we have seen yet another GTA 6 leak, this time revealing that we could be seeing the addition of evolving cities in the game.
Fans have been searching the internet for news on the long-awaited GTA 6, however a lack of new information has pushed fans to look in other places, such as searching for suspect teasers in game and also possible leaks.

This search has turned to patents filed by the publishers of Rockstars games, Take-Two. Details were discovered in one patent that there were dedicated servers for GTA 6’s online mode, however while in another it was discovered that there were a series of references to evolving cities, this was filed in 2017 and is still pending.
It seems this means a ‘run down’ neighbourhood that changes depending on the way the player is interacting with it, the excerpt reads:
“As another example, an older run-down neighbourhood could be created by populating it with a higher proportion of assets tagged “old,” “worn_down,” “rusty,” “cheap,” etc. In game play where the player is attempting to improve the city they live in, as the player performs well in the game, the game engine can then swap objects tagged as described above with objects tagged “new, high-end, hipster, renovated” etc to indicate the neighborhood is improving.”
Now look at this excerpt from a 2017 patent from Rockstar Games.

Looks like we‘ll be able to „improve“ neighborhood in the game, and this will change them to be gentrified.
Holy shit. pic.twitter.com/gRcT5nhCoR
However, some players have even assumed that this means there could be multiple different cities, this would be a major change for GTA as we have not been able to make these kind of changes to a city before.
Of course, we can’t know for sure if this is actually the case, fans will just have to hang on and see what is in store for the future of GTA.
